My name is Tim Flynn and I am an aspiring marketer interested in both sports and sustainability.

Sports.
Since a young age, I have been involved in sports. Whether it was soccer, baseball, or tennis, I was always playing something. The sport that I grew the most love for was baseball. Paired with growing up on the Southside of Chicago, I became a White Sox fan. With my love for the White Sox, I got a job at the stadium working in food/beverage. From there, I realized that I wanted to be involved within the business aspect of a sports team.

Marketing.

In grade school, I discovered my love for business. I have always been one to be fascinated with math, which is why I was attracted to business. In high school, I discovered my creative side. I became the Chief Marketing Officer for my startup company in a year-long class senior year of high school. Creating marketing material here allowed me to see my creative potential. So, since that day on, I set out to get a Marketing degree and haven't looked back since.

Sustainability.
Whether you agree or not, climate change is happening now. We are entering a climate crisis and lots of action needs to be taken in the next decade or so to avoid this. After watching countless documentaries, I came to the realization that we need this change immediately. Instead of watching this stuff happen, I decided to be proactive and add this as my minor. Businesses need to work on reducing their impact on the environment and this will soon be required by governmental regulation (hopefully). Sports teams fall into this equation with all of the waste and energy used at a stadium. Climate Pledge Arena puts on display the combination of Sports and Sustainability.
